Hedgelaying Courses

Our hedgelaying courses are held during the autumn and winter months of the year.

The course starts at 09:30 and finishes at about 16:00. We break for lunch and you will need to bring something to eat and a drink. (Bear in mind that the courses are held in the Devon countryside and civilised toilet facilities are not usually available.)

The cost of the course is £30 and is payable on the day. We can provide tools for the day or you are welcome to bring your own. A billhook is really all that is required although a pair of loppers and a pruning saw can be useful.

Note that the weather plays a great part in scheduling these courses. If it is too wet we postpone the course mainly for safety reasons. If this happens we try to reschedule the course to a subsequent Saturday if possible. It is important to supply a telephone number so we can contact you if this needs to happen.
